Captain Hope's Kids - Meeting The Critical Needs of Homeless Children

The Status Report on Homelessness in America's Cities reveals that the number of children in homeless shelters is 2 1/2 times greater than the current student body at The University of Texas. In 2005, Captain Hope's Kids distributed critically needed items worth an estimated $325,000 to a collaborative network of 42 homeless service providers in North Texas.

Urgent Need Items

Captain Hope's Kids serves approximately 10,000 children in more than 38 homeless shelters in the North Texas area each year. Unfortunately, this is a rapidly growing segment of our population. Captain Hope's Kids has not only identified the critical needs of children in homeless shelters, but is also a part of the solution!
